Biography

Ananish Chaudhuri is a world-leading researcher on behavioral and experimental economics, currently serving as Professor of Experimental Economics at the University of Auckland. He is ranked among the Top 5% of economists in the world by RePEc.

He served as a Visiting Professor of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2020 and was the Chair of the Department of Economics at the University of Auckland from 2013 to 2019.

His research interests are diverse, applying behavioral economics to management, leadership, and decision-making. He has also conducted significant research into the physiological factors of finance, specifically the effects of sleep deprivation on trading and asset price volatility, as well as political corruption and psychology.
