
Raghavendra Rau
Raghavendra Rau is the Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School and a world-leading researcher on behavioral finance and financial markets.
He is the Founder and Academic Director of the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), a research centre at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School dedicated to the study of alternative finance, including fintech, digital currencies, and blockchain.
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Rau served as Principal at Barclays Global Investors, then the largest asset manager in the world, where he gained deep practical insight into asset management and market dynamics.
He is perhaps uniquely known for winning the Ig Nobel Prize for his study on CEO risk appetite, titled 'What doesn't kill you will only make you more risk-loving: Early life disasters and CEO behavior'.
